I would appreciate input from a knowledgable source regarding some questions I have listed below.
I am in the U.S. on an Indian passport and due to a business lawsuit I might have to overstay beyond my OPT period - I understand there is a 2 month grace period beyond the expiry date where you are allowed to stay in the U.S. but cannot work. Could someone please advise as to what the impact would be in such a scenario regarding the rules and what recourse I might have available?
I have been in the U.S. for 12 years including my F1 for my undergrad studies, H1B work and then F1 again for my grad studies. Have been in good status throughout this time period - also as a minor I travelled to the U.S. on a 5 year multiple entry visa.
I had one more question - in that if I were to get an E.U. passport does the Work permit overstay on my Indian passport impact my ability to visit the U.S.? as I do not require a visa with E.U. travel documentation. Would the same apply to an H1B visa prospect?
Thank you for your help.
Regards,
Ashok
