Overall Processing time for PR

Hi Guys,

Does anyone has any idea as how long does the overa all processing takes?
I applied on April 8,2002 and I just received the file number couple of days ago. How long does it take once file number comes in our hand.

Just FYI, I am currently in US working on H1.

Time for PR

I depends on CHC. Buffalo Office is taking about 10-12 months for those who applied before Sept 2001.

I applied in Sept 2001 and still did not get any response flike many others who applied in or after Sept 2001.

But it may take 14-36 months these days depending on the Interview waiver / required.

You said it might take about 14-36 months, to process PR applicaions. Did you mean that's the possible processing time at Buffalo office, or you meant max of 36 months at different locations?!

Unfortunately i don't know the prcessing time for other locations. I only checked in the Buffalo Office web site.

You may check the same in your regional web CHC web site.
