Hello All,
I am travelling to India(Mumbai) through Singapore in Dec 2006 and will be using my Advance Parole to enter US.
Are there any requirements to obtain a transit visa if travelling through Singapore on Advance Parole.
Also, if someone can post their experiences when using Advance Parole, what is the overall process when you leave US and enter US. When leaving US do the airline peolple check for AP and Passport documents,I-94 and what do they retain for their purpose besides the I-94, when returning back from India, show the AP and passport documents to the custom people in india, I read that they cannot retain anything.
I read in the forums also that you are not supposed to hand over your original Advance Parole to anyone except at the port of entry in US. I will be carrying multiple photocopies of AP with me.
I have 3 originals of AP, will the US custom retain one and return the other 2 to us.
Please post you experiences, it will be very helpful since I am travelling in 15 days.
