Outrageous: Advance Parole lost in mail.

Just want to share this story: My friend applied AP at NSC. AP aparently got approved on 12/18/03 but he never recieved it. So he called after 14 days and was told to wait for 30 days. After 30 days, he called and was told that they will issue ANOTHER in 3-7 days. After 7 days he called and was told in angry tone that it will take 3-4 wks. Yesterday he recieved a letter stating that he has to apply again with fee and required documents as USCIS is not responsible for lost mail??? This is outrageous.

Is the argument strong enough to get an Emergency AP?

I understand the pain myself very much since my AP case has been pending since Nov. 2002 (over 14 months), thinking i might be able to get a EAP as well.


However, would the bastard officers consider that your case is an emergency?

Did you try to find out why is it still pending?

You have to have an emergency situation that will require to travel out of US, if you can proove this emergency situation, you can get emergency AP
