If I am found to be out of status for not making normal progress towards the degree:
1) Once the school reports me by terminating the SEVIS, how soon before immigration enforcement comes knocking on my door? Will I have a few weeks to gather my stuff up and leave quietly??
2) Am I "Unlawfully Present" once my SEVIS is terminated? I looked in many websites, half of them say that since I am D/S then I am not unlawfully present until USCIS makes that determination, and the other half says that I am unlawfully present as soon as I am out of status... what is the right answer??
3) I have a B1/B2 visa valid until 2010 which I used to enter the USA (and later i changedd status) ... Is that visa automatically canceled once I am "Out of Status" or only once USCIS makes determination that i am unlawfully present?? If its not canceled, what are my chances of being admitted on that visa at the port of entry after having violated status(If i can show enough funds to support myself)
4) Assuming I return to my country and find a H1B sponsor, how will me going out of status affect the chances of getting the H1B visa??
Thank you
