My company applied for my H1-B on general cap and unfortunately I am not selected for H1-B this time
Now, I am graduating(MS) end of the May. My OPT starts on July 01, 2007 and ends on June 30, 2008 (my EAD card is mailed already). My job starts from July 19th, 2007.
My Query is:
If my company applies for my H1(PP) next year what will be my status in July 08, August'08 and September '08? Will I have to leave US?
Is there any way I can change my status for 3 months to something like F1 or J1 or anything of such kind. Leaving US is risky for me, I want to stay back till October 01, 2008. What can I do in this case?
Please suggest.
