Out of Status. Problem for SS# with EAD?

We got her her EAD. Now we need to get her SS#.It asks for a current I-94 and of course it was 4 years ago, so she is out of status. Problem?
 
I have found the answer.

Social Security will take several documents. One of them is a I-766. A I-766 is the EAD Card. The result of a I-765 is a I-766. :)
 
Correct, she is not anymore out of status because she is with pending AOS. So to get her SSN she just need to show her passport (to show identity) and her EAD (eligibility for a SSN).

We went to Social Security office this morning (god bless their souls) after 5 minutes of waiting we were next. Wife showed her EAD Card (I-766) with the filled out SS-5 form and in 2 minutes we were done. Woman said 2 weeks to receive her card. We were very F%$#ing happy. :)
