out of status F1 to H1 stamp in Canada

Hi friends,

I came to the US in '03 on a F-1 visa to do my Master's. Towards the end of my Masters I fell out of status for 5 months due to my Intl. Student officers mistake ( for which he gave me a letter taking partial responsibility for). I was then reinstated to F-1 and got back in status within a few days.

I applied for OPT and H-1 and got approved for both without any problems. Now, I need to do m H-1 stamping since I am planning of traveling.

Should I go to Canada (I already have an appointment and I would prefer this) or should I go to India to get my first time H-1 stamped.

I got a lot of good info from this website and I really hope someone will give me some good advice. Thanks.

I was in the same situation. I went to India for Stamping. I got it easily. One of my friend got his stamp in Canada. So you can do both.
