I recently got divorced from my husband who filed green card documents for me. The filing was not complete when we started having problems which led to the dissolution of the marriage. I was however denied because he refused to come with me to the interview. I since filed for divorce and since then I met and got engaged to someone else and we are about to get married. my new fiance however is a permanent resident and is due to file for citizenship in 2011. Since I was denied from my pervious marriage, I am now out of status. If we go ahead and get married, will my out of status state affect him gettting his citizenship when he files in 2011. and if it does, how will it affect him and myself ? will it raise questions about my history. if so what questions.
