Hi,

My dad and mon got their Green cards through family immigration(through my dad's sister applied in 1986) after coming here 3 years ago. They stayed here for 3 months and decided to go back. Since we all here, they are planning to visit us for few months.
So, what is the best way of coming here? are they going to create a problem if they come with their GC's or they can apply for visitors visa.
We are very welcome with suggestions or any sort of information.

Thanks!

GC not valid

I doubt id his GC is still valid. he may not be allowed to enter the USA.

Please check with US consulates in your country about validity of his GC.

They lost their GC once they decided to go back. GC requires intention to stay in US permanently. Absences more than 1 year automatically invalidate GCs(unless Re-entry permit is obtained). They have to explain how they have not abandoned US as their place of residence. I doubt in this case they can do so.
They will have to apply for a visitors visa.
