Friends, Just wanted to let you know that our I-485 cases were finally approved yesterday after an interview at hartford, CT.

Below are the details:

Category: EB2
PD: Aug' 2000
I-485 RD: Jan' 2002
Transfer to MSC from VSC: Nov' 2003
Transfer to Hartford, CT from MSC: Aug' 2004
Interview and Approved date: 07/07/05.
AC21 Case

The interview went OK, was asked general questions like date of last entry in to the US, How long I have been working for the current employer, How long I worked for the sponsered employer, asked if I was ever arrested, ever deported, used public assistance etc., verified current employment letter, 2004 tax return, recent pay stubs, passports, DL, SSN cards etc.. Nothing complicated. The officer said, he is going to approve our cases because of my EB2 classification. (I am not sure if this meant that I would have to wait if it were EB3 case, I know there is some talk going on about EB3 visa non-availability). The officer then took our passports, said he will request immigrant visa and asked us to give FP and photos (in a different room) and wait in the lobby for the passports. After half hour he returned our passports with the temp I-551 stamp in it which is valid for one year. That's all folks.
