OT: Question on inter-company X'fer after I140 approval

Hello Friends,

I've been following this forum for the past many months and this is my first post. Some of the guys here have been doing a great job of helping others with their GC related queries.

I had a question about X'ferring to a different dept in a different state within the same company after I140 approval. Can't file 485 b'coz of the retrogression hellhole. My atty says I cant move to a different state even if it is the same company till I at least get the EAD. Is that right? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

he is right. except your file another green card at your new location, which as your i-140 is approved, you should be able to keep your pd.

If you are on H1, it also depends on the details mentioned in LCA.
