Original or copy for "Affidavit of Birth"

All:

I just got "affidavit of birth" form my parents in Bombay. I need to submit it as part of RFE I got for my birth certificate (mothers name was not written in full). Do I submit original affidavit or copy (in color) will do?

I have submitted both original and copies to my lawyer. He will decide now...I hope he makes the correct decision.
