Original approval notice

When I ask my lawyer to send me the original approval notice, he refused to do. Reason: I already had my pp stamped so I don't need the original notice. Can't we keep what is rightfully ours? Or our attorney has the right to keep the original approval notice? Please advise.

Thanks.

You should have received your courtesy copy from INS. That is fine for your records.

pp stamping without original

Are you saying we can go for passport stamping with just the courtesy copy..? Doesnt INS need the orignal which is usually sent to the lawyer.?

RE:

No, you don't need the original copy for PP stamping.

I just want to keep the original copy as my own record. After all, the courtesy copy already given back to the immigration officer.

you dont need the original; legally, your lawyer owns that original approval.

your pp stamp and the actual card are all you need.
