Origignal Birth certificate is unavailable; will a copy do for I-140/I-485 ?

Hi there,

According to court which I got married in South America they won't release my birth certificate. They can issue a copy.

If I translate that copy to English and send that copy+English translation, is that enough for I-140/I-485 ?

yes, a copy is all u meed, in any case u would not be required to submit the original to USCIS.

U may need the original if u have interview.
