Hi, This is a wired situation, I have received my courtesy copy of approval notice and had passport stamped without any problem. But till now, my attorney still did not receive my original notice yet, it\'s been 3 weeks. Do you think there will be problem for the future if I never get my original notice? The attorney said as long as you have the passport stamped, you should be all set even without receiving your approval notice. Anybody had a similar experience or any thought on this, please reply. Thank you so much!!!

Don\'t worry, real copy and courtesy copies have equal validity. Just keep your courtesy copy for records. Don\'t worry about the attorney copy, you are fine.

Thanks a lot Koran. Now I\'m only keeping the copy of my Courtesy copy since I have give courtesy copy back to INS when I did my passport stamping. So is that ok.?

Yes, that is fine. Once you have got the stamp, it really does not matter. Just keep the copy of courtesy copy for your records.

Hi
This message is for \'notice\', Hello \'notice\', I am in the same situation as you were . That is I have only the \'courtesy copy\' of I-485 approval notice. I do not have the original. Do you think it is ok for me to go for passport stamping? Please let me know whether the local INS asked you for the original approval notice?
Thanks
-Prakash

Hi, the courtesy is fine for my passport stamping. The INS office did not ask for original letter. Hope it helps!
