Just received an email that OR petition by my employer has been approved today. RD was 4/20/05. So currently I have two approved I-140s (NIW appeal approved earlier this month) and no chance of 485 after more than 2.5 years since I started the process :mad: Good job by USCIS :mad:
 
Does anybody know if one can transfer the earlier priority date of EB-2 case to EB-1 case? Thanks in advance!
 
The answer is yes. I forgot about the source but it is true. NIW might be slower but you get more freedom to change the job. Guess you have a nice job now!
 
Thanks NIW_0926 for your answer. You are right that with OR one is bound to specific employer. However, if EB-1 moves way ahead of EB-2, it might be worthwhile to stick with the employer a little bit longer to get the green card a lot sooner.
