Options for a Girlfriend :-)

Hi

Been reading the FAQ's and I dont seem to have a solid answer to my question soooo... I thought I would ask you guys as you seem to have answers to all the other questions..!

My partner has been offered a position in the USA so he will be coming over on a H1 visa.

We have been together for 10 years but are not yet married, I have british and Australian passports, can I apply for an H4 even if we are not married and if not what are my options??

I understand I am not able to work unless sponsored - does anyone know how potential employers react to this?

what about this 10 year tourist visa Ive read about could I not apply for that? And what happens if I fly out to the Uk for two weeks every three months and then come back on the visa waver programme ?

If not it looks like we will have to get married - life will be much easier.
