Options after EAD expiration

Hi,
My current EAD expires on Oct. 31. I filed for EAD renewal on Sept. 6. I had my biometrics and fingerprint done this Monday, Sept. 25.

Based on the current processing times at NCS, it sounds like I'm not going to get my EAD by the end of OCtober.
My question is: am I going to lose my job, and also my green card petition because of this?
Anybody could advise on what can I do in order to keep my job untill I get my new EAD?

Be on Leave until you receive new card

You shoudln't work without an EAD Card.

Not having an EAD ,has nothing to do with your GC.
