first, thanks so much for taking the time to read this.
I think i must be going crazy (which shouldn't surprise me after dealing with all this immigration-visa changing-mess). As the title says, i'm currently on an F1 visa, in OPT period. I only have an AA, but i remember reading in august about people with AAs now being able to apply for H1b! It was a press release from homeland security and i thought i was set, because my employer really wants to sponsor me so i can stay with the company.
Can anybody please tell me whether i understood what i read well or i read what i wanted to read in that press release?
If H1B is not an option for me, do you know of any other visa i could apply for? is there an extension for OPT?
Background info: AA in graphic design and photography-currently working in marketing department where me speaking spanish is also a big plus-by the time the OPT expires, i would have been working with the company for a whole year.
