Hi, I'm going to school in Nebraska service center jurisdiction, but am living in CA, doing my internship. My internship ends in December 2005 and will graduate at the same time.
I read about OPT jurisdiction problem in this forum. Should I apply my OPT to California CIS? I was told I can send it to Nebraska CIS if I use International Student Service office address in I-765. I believe SEVIS has my california address.
One more question is....My employer will give me an offer soon. They expect me to work right away after graduation....which is almost impossible since I haven't apply for OPT yet. I checked the California service center processing time today. They are processing the applications received at July 18 as of Oct. 5.
Total disaster....Do you think I can get my EAD by the end of January if I send my application next Friday (Oct. 14) to california center?
