Opt To H1b Stamping

Hi all,
I have my OPT till Jan 5, 2007. I got my H1B approved and its effective from 1 Oct 2006. I was planning to go to Canada in first week of Dec this year to get H1 stamped.
I wanted to know can I re-enter US, if my H1 B gets rejected, since I still have OPT.
I will be waiting for all ur replies.

Yes, your F-1 remains valid until the end of your OPT period or until your switch visa catagories.
