opt question

Hi friends,

I really have a problem here.I have completed my graduation and my I-2O wil be expiring on Dec 31.I have applied for my opt but my opt start date is feb 6.Also i have got the confirmation that my opt is approved.I am getting job offers and they want me start right from jan 1.I dont want my job offer to go away.Please give me your advise on these questions.

1.Can I start working from Jan 1st?

2.Can I change the start date of my opt?

Please let me know your replies as I am desparate for advise.I would really appreciate your help.

I dont think you have a way of moving OPT start date to sometime earlier.
