Opt Help!!!

A friend of mine is working on CPT currently, which expires in Dec 2005. He has applied for his OPT which is not expected to come in before the CPT expires. Can he continue to work there if he receives his OPT receipt notice before the CPT expires?

I think if he has received his OPT notice, it mentions one can go to the USCIS center (after 90 or 120 day) to get his/her interim OPT if it does not arrive by then. But to answer your question, your friend should have OPT or interim OPT to start working if CPT expires.
