I am presently on OPT which is valid till may 2006. A consulting company has filed a H1 with uscis with start date as oct 15th and it is approved now. But I got an offer of a fulltime position from a big company but because of some constraints, they would only be able to file a H1 in the first quarter of 2006. Till then I would be hired as a contracter. My question is will my OPT status be valid if I don't join the consulting firm and continue to work on my OPT? Thanks a million in advance.
