I have completed MS (US) and working on OPT which expires during March 2012. Now, I want to apply for extension as it usually takes about 60days for approval. But my school authorities have informed me that they are not able to do this process as the extension button has not been activated and that they will contact the USCIS for updating my data . But I am not getting any positive reply from them
My question is, has this happened earlier to anyone else , if so what was the solution to apply for renewal?Can I contact the USCIS directly ? Will there be any problems later, if I do?
Can some one please suggest a solution for this.
