My wife is in a situation that bothers us a lot.
She applied for a part time OPT in Jan and didn't get it till after 90 days. So she had to go the local office on the 91st day, and then she got the approval immdiately. No explanation her application got delayed so long.
She graduated in mid of May. She applied for her full time OPT at the end of April. She is still waiting, after several job offers slipped through because she doesn't have an EAD. Now her grace period has expired, I am just afraid that if her application her application got denied, what can we do?
All her fellow students got approvals in less than one month. The only thing special for my wife is that she transferred from a Ph.D. program of school A to an MBA of her current school.
I am an H-1 but I am not sure if she can transfer to H-4 since she is not F-1 any more if her OPT got denied.
Some friends told me just relax but I cannot because waiting 3 monthes twice is rare, I think
