I got my masters degree from US in 2005. After graduation i joined Phd. Now I have completed all the course work of Phd. I still have 2 years to complete it. I have applied for OPT which will start from Jan 1 2008 so that i can change my status to H1 in 2008. My question is "Since i still have two years to graduate, do i need to register while I am on OPT? If i dont register during OPT will i be out of status ?"
