Hello,
My cousin applied for OPT at TSC (Texas Center) on Feb 22, 2003 but hasn't received any receipt as yet i.e. March 20, 2003. He is worried about this. Does anyone know how long does it take to get the receipt? He applied after the implementation of new SEVIS system (new system to track international students). His check got cleared on March 05, 2003. Since he does not have a receipt, is it possible for him to get the temporary work permit from the local INS office after 90 days? He has copies of forms he submitted and the acknowledgement from the TSC that they received his application.
