Hello there,
I have very complicated situation. I m a december'05 grad, I applied for my OPT in Nov., I waited for one week, generally cheque is been cashed in that time, but mine wasnt. So i went to my international office and they asked me to wait. Days passed by and my cheque wasnt cashed neither i didnt recieve and reciept. On that I called USCIS, the agent asked me to reapply, becoz its lost somewhere. I told this to my international office, and they said I cant reapply, and first we should find the missing application. Now its been 6 months I dont have any thing from USCIS. On recent meeting with the advisor, i was told that I have a cancelled status on SEVIS. And he has asked SEVIS to make it active. but still there is no time frame when its gonna happen. Please advise me :
1). If I can directly apply for H1.
2). School is still in touch with SEVIS and USCIS to get my OPT. But i really dont know how much time its gonna take. What should I in that case...meaning should I wait if in case OPT card is needed for H1 filing.
