Hi
I needed advice desperately on this issue. I am on a F1 visa right now. My I20 expires June '09. I lost on my post-completion opt on technical grounds that I did CPT for more than 365 days. My university's ISSS did not inform me of this and I worked for 374 as prescribed by their CPT program.
My first question is: Is there any way I can plead this case with the USCIS so that they can grant me my one year of post-completion opt.
Now since my university told me I cannot have OPT, I decided to graduate in March '09 so that I can apply for H1 directly. If I graduate March '09 and my company files the H1 paperwork and god willing I get it. I can go back to my home country and start work in Oct '09 right?
If I cannot graduate in March '09 and it extends till June '09 then is there any way I can apply for H1 without my bachelor's? (Applying in April '09). Otherwise what options do I have to extend my F1 stay here so that my company can file for H1 in April '10. Also I was reading up on Kaplan GMAT test prep. I understand that they give I 20's but do they give opt after you complete a Kaplan course?
Please help me out with these questions. Appreciate any responses.
Thanks,
Abi
