Hi forum
so i applied for asylum in April 2014 and was interviewed August 2014 was out of status on the interview date.
On October I applied for the EAD and 40 days later I got a letter stating that my ead was denied because my clock was stopped at 95 days, went to the asylum office and they said there is a clock error and i have to wait for it to be fixed. And since then haven't heard from them.
Aaylum decision is still pending and work permit is not going to be issued.
what shall I do ?

Nothing you can do but wait for clock to reach 150 days and apply for EAD. Once, its 180 days, you will get your EAD. Check with AO office if they can adjust the clock if its a mistake on their end.

It's been more than 250 days so far and the asylum office said i have to wait for it to be fixed and they don't know how long it might take.

Wow Nalax that's terrible. Try to contact the Ombudsman office. There is a email address in the same USCIS website. Be as specific as you can and provide names, dates, and specific times of your calls and contacts withthe asylum office. This situation should receive priority

Indeed, that is the only powerful action I can think of. You should not be responsible for mistakes on their sides.

Allowing my writ petitions, Delhi High Court passed an order thereby setting aside the orders of passport authority putting the passport of the petition under PAC category for five years for applying political asylum in a foreign country. This judgment would bring relief to thousand of applicants especially from Punjab who cannot apply for passport for 5 years as they had applied for political asylum in a foreign country. rule of law prevails.
