Why don't I see my case status online ? and automated phone system also says case number not found .

How long it takes the status to appear online or in phone system ?
 
I never saw my case status.. took me 5 months from filing to oath.. don't worry.. its become common now.....
 
I just got my FP notice last week but still the online system says my receipt # is invalid. Someone told me that the online system is no good when the case is being processed at the DO and N-400 is one of those applications that is processed at DO.
 
i never was able to see my status either, even though i already passed my interview
i would not worry about
my case moved without it...
 
I can't find my case status online. It's been about 3 months since I filed and I haven't received a fingerprint notice. I have moved since I filed, within the same state but my DO changed from Arlington to the sub-office in Norfolk, and I'm concerned whether the update was not processed correctly. The reps on the phone can't tell me anything either.
I just mailed off a letter to the senators office asking them if they can help me to find the status of my address update. But with the election, I'm sure they have other pressing concerns.

Changing DO results in delays of upto 3 months in your process. Wait for 3 more months and it should be OK.

I spoke with the immigration lawyer handling a separate case for my father and she mentioned that Norfolk is a sub-office for the Arlington DO. I think she said that applications are sent to Arlington from Vermont and then onto Norfolk. So I hope there isn't a three month delay
 
Whether your file gets transferred from one DO to another DO, or your file is transferred from a sub-office to another sub-office inside the same DO, you need to assume 3 months delay. Matter of rule of thumb. Hope this helps. :)

My status showed up today. I don't know what 30-60 days means.

My status is available now too. Mine also mentions the 30-60 days for processing. But I guess I shouldn't get too happy over that.
 
My atlanta application in May just showed up in the online system but it says

Your N400 APPLICATION FOR NATURALIZATION was received .. May .. 2004. We mailed you a receipt with information about processing. It is taking between 750 and 999 days for us to process this kind of case. We will mail you a decision as soon as processing is complete.


750 days !
