Online Status question

Hi guys,
does anybody know how often the online case status at the bcis site is updated.
In other words: does what is being seen online reflect the latest update or letters (mail) from BCIS is the only reliable source that one should go by.
example: my online case status shows that as of 10/31/04, my N400 is being processed. I already had an interview on 1/28/05 (name check passed by the way) where I had to submit extra paperwork I was given till 3/16/05 to send them what they want. Nothing of this is being said in the online status message.

If I don't hear from them, should I just wait til the expiration 120 days?
is it from the date of the interview or the date they fixed to receive the documents they need?

The online case status does NOT reflect the recent activities at the USCIS. My status shows last update 11/01/2004, i had my interview on february 7th, 2005. Everything was fine at the interview and i passed. now waiting for Oath. by the way, which office did you go through?
Also, the 120 is counting from the day of the interview.
 
san francisco DO. at least you know what you are waiting for! my case is not clear yet? oath or denial!
