online status doesnot reflect status at INS direct number

Hello all,

My i485 online status says "sent notice for fingerprints..."

I have already done my fingerprints and the INS direct number says "fingerprints received and processing has resumed"

looks like their system is not in sync


I am also waiting for my EAD my receipt date was Aug 22. The JIT report says 9/9/02 ... is mine taking unusually long or this is normal.

online message at INS is a big hoax! So don't really refer to it. AVM, as you have found out is the best bet.

As far as the EAD is concerned, is taking time, probably because of the sp. reg. going on right now. But after 30 days from the time the JIT is out you can ping INS for an update!
 
The online status, when I punch in my WAC number says that "On Oct 22, the results of your fingerprint review for your I485 APPLICATION TO ADJUST TO PERMANENT RESIDENT STATUS were received, ...". But the AVM still says that "On Sep 18, 2002 we mailed you an receipt requesting you to appear for fingerprinting..."

We definitely have a mystery here.

Interesting! I maybe mistaken in making such a sweeping statement, looks like there is no ultimate truth out that.

Considering Krishna's statement, I am going to withdraw my earlier statement about online case status being a big hoax! Now I am going to include the whole of INS in the big hoax category!

They ate our money and are not giving us the service/GC as promised! :) Maybe someone can sue them! Imagine a company not giving you the product after you pay for it in advance!
