Hi tina21,

Thanks.

login/account question

ocworker & others,

When you create your own login/account at the INS website, do you get case updates over the email? Specifically, do you get an update when INS send out an fp notice and when it is? I am expecting my fp notice in the next couple of weeks (PD: Sep 28, 2005) but I will be out of the country for a few weeks and may miss my fp appt.

Second question: If I do miss my fp appt, does it adversely affect my application or can I reshedule it after I come back?

Thanks,

Rajesh

when i created my online login at USCIS website, I could not add my case. it kept saying the case can't be found.. etc etc

The first time I could add my case in my login was the day I received the interview letter. However, after I added the case in my login, the status still showed "case can't be found... etc".

So I did not bother to check online status anymore.

[ome Ppl Can And Some Cant Check I Was One Of Those That Could Check They Online Status So I Was Really Lucky And Now Finaly I Got May Letter Right After The Online Status Disapered

ocworker,
You have all this information in your timeline, how did you get all these dates, when it was received by FBI and such?

because i read thru and searched all posts in this website to get info.

also, a great user composed some info which it is useful (even thought he just composed the post in last few days)

http://www.immigrationportal.com/showthread.php?t=193169

aslo, for the beginner, pls read the sticky post

I read these posts already, but from the discussions I got the impression that FBI does not answer the emails and there is no way to find it out from the USCIS itself. For example the date your fp were received by FBI. How exactly you found this out?

did you read the link i posted at all?

I called to FBI and asked my FP status. it is how exactly I found it out.

I called FBI on fingerprints and got the dates.
But other than that they do not answer any communication anymore. I did read the postings all right, unfortunately Rahul's posting is outdated. Publicus advice is useful, but is also a little outdated. FBI is doing some sort of a "special project" of processing 2.7 million name-checks (I assumed not USCIS related) and won't answer any questions.
