Hi,

I applied for my I140 in March. I didnot get the I140 receipt yet, but my EAC number was stamped on the back of the cashed check.

When I check the status online, it still says the "Status for this Receipt Number cannot be found at this time in this automated system."

Is it something common or is it something to worry about? My lawyer called Vermont regarding this and they said it is not something to worry about. There are lot of cases which have not been entered into the system yet.

The same thing happened with me for another type of petition. My attorney said the same thing. however after waiting for 2 months, I requested the attorney to call/write. He did that and it was updated in the system.
In your case, since 4 months have elapsed, if possible request your attorney to inquire about the case.
