Online message question

Hi All,
I had my second finger print done on oct 31,2003. The online status message has not changed till date Jan 02,2004.
I did find out from the FBI that they have sent the finger print report on the USCIS on oct 31,203 itself, guess its safe.

My question is, when we get an RFE, does the online status message change?
Inputs appreciated from the persons in the same boat as mine.

I'm in the same boat as you. I just called and asked for a status inquiry. However it seems like it would take a month to get a reply.
The online message may or may not change for RFE / FingerPrinting.

I am also in the same boat. I got 2nd FP notice in First week of Dec and have completed in the first week of Dec it self. Till now the website did not get updated.

Do we got the 2nd FP coz of the software bug?..

No. If 15 months have passed since the first finger print, we "normally" get a second FP to be done.

But there are cases where this norm is not followed.
 
Before 15 months I got an RFE

Hi,

Before 15 months I got an RFE, I replied to the RFE , after 2 months of replying to the RFE I got the 2nd FP.

Is this normal..

Yes. I just received an RFE. The online status now shows:

"...we mailed a notice requesting additional evidence or information in this case.".
