Hi All,

My online message changed a few months back to something like response to fingerprints received and processing has resumed in my case.

Would this mean that the processing will speed up.

same here .. my online status changed too

although I am not sure if it means anything. Call me a cynic , but I have seen too many cases where the approval took months after the RFE was issued.

Keeping my fingers crossed !! Btw , are your fingerprints about to expire any time soon ?

Raj,

Did you move recently. I noticed that reporting chaging of address ti INS makes the online message to change.

Good luck all.

I am in the same boat. My ND is Aug 2002. In Oct 2003, my status got updated with the same message saying that they received results for my FP on Jul 09th 2003 and processing has resumed. I was hoping something is going to happen soon but nothing happened until today. Still waiting and checking the status once every three days.

I didn't see anyone posting similar message here, which might throw some light on how soon the case will processed once that status message appears.

I got the same message..

that they received my finger prints on July 9th , 2003. However my online status was updated only last week. It's ironic I got my finger prints done sometime in December 2002, and verified with the FBI within a month , but it took them around 6 months to receive the paperwork (9th July '03) and 6 more months to change the online status message (9th Jan ' 04)

Nothing happend to my case. I was hoping to see something different when I submitted AR-11.:(

gccard ,
Did you happen to give your FPs in Dec -02 ? I gave mine in Dec ( so is Maverick ) and I am not sure what's so special about July 9 th but it looks like INS received the all 2002 applicants FP reviews on the same day!

Still trying to figure this out ....

485 delay

I guess by the current time frame it will take RD 9/2002 another year to get their 485 approved unless and until the litigation by Mr.Khanna helps.

Which I doubt is INS would go under the umbrella of Homeland Security and give us a classic excuse.

This is my guess: ( sorry if this breaks anyone's heart)

They are estimating 24 months decide on I485. So, though finger prints were taken on different dates for different applicants, they probably held it back till some time in July to get it cleared by FBI. If that is the case then they will be valid till October 2004 ( 15 months) which will give them 24 months without need for second FP.

I would be curious to know if anyone called FBI immediately after FP was done to check whether they processed it. If anyone did then the above theory goes to trash.

I called the FBI some time in jan/feb 2003 and they said that they
had received and processed my finger prints. I am pretty surprised that the service center received the finger prints as late as july 2002 and even if they did receive them so late , what took them exactly 6 months to update my online status ?

GRCA-2002

Intereting theory...

Here is my case..

FP on Jan 23, 2003.. called FBI sometime during Feb 2003. FBI confirmed that the FP's were validated and sent to NSC on Jan 28, 2003 both for myself and my spouse...

Then called the support center on Aug 26, 2003 to submit CoA. Online status message changed to "On July 9, 2003 the results of the fingerprints review..... blah.. blah"

If you go by July 9, 2003 date... then the 15 month expiry comes on Oct 8, 2003 which is around 23 months from my RD... so it kind of works out... for me...

Cheers

Online Response Change

I believe algizawi is correct in his assessment, Recently I moved and change my address through 800 number and my on line status is changed to Fingerprint received on 09 Jul 2003 and resume your case. I have also notice same change in my friend’s case. So I am not reading too much in this message.

Thanks

Reality check

Sorry to disturb everyone's fond dreams, but this message does not mean anything except that the BCIS has received the fingerprint report from the FBI. My message changed to this in the first week of February 2002 (yes 2002!!!) and hasn't changed since then.
