Online EAD renewal

Hi,

I want to file for EAD renewal online.I had a few questions for people who have already done it.

1) After filing the renewal online do I need to take all the required documents to the local BCIS office?

2) When I got my EAD last year they sent a stub with it and it says that if I use that stub,the process of renewal would be faster?

Do I need to submit the stub along with the other documents?

Any advice would be helpful.

Yes. You need to call the NSC and schedule an appointment at the nearest USCIS office. They will take your photograph an finger print for EAD (This FP is different from the 485 FP).

The stub you talk about is called a mailer. Yes you can attach that too ( a copy ofcource) as a document.

Couldn't understand your question but I presume you are asking about the choice of Service centers / local offices for FP/PG.

When you call NSC you can ask them to schedule at any local office near to you.

cut-out portion of mailer

Hi dynobuoy,
I'm going to mail my supporting docs today. The mailer has a top cut-out portion. Do I need to send the original of this cut-out portion? That's what it seems to say.

I mean FP/PG. I called NSC, but I don't know which option to choose to schedule an appointment. I am in DC/NV area. Do we have to get a person on the phone to make an appointment? Thanks,

Yes, I know it was confusing for me too when I called the 800 number. there is no option. I chose the "Other business" option first. Then I hit 9 after trying a couple of buttons. It finally tried to put me thru to an operator. After more than 10 mins, I got a guy on the line who scheduled it for me. Some service!

Yes you need to speak to a representative to schedule an appointment. Appointment scheduling is not an automated process yet (thank god!).

I think you need to press 0 or 9 or just wait on the line.

You need not sent the original mailer, a photocopy would suffice. But even if you plan to sent it make sure you reatain a copy of it.

EAD and AP renewal

Hi I am planing to send EAD, AP renewal my self....
Can I post all application in one mail ( it will be four application, 2 for me and 2 for my wife). Do I need to write any cover letter, list all details of enclosed....


For EAD required docs:
1. 485 receipt - to show my application for adjustment pending.
2. copy of EAD
3. Copy of EAD mailer
4. I -94 copy
5. Photos

For I 131
1. 485 receipt - to show my application for adjustment pending.
2. I -94 copy
3. photos


Is there any thing else....? which I missed, or you feel it will helpful....

I would suggest sending your and your wife's papers in separate mails.

However you may send your EAD and AP in the same mail but be sure to have separate envelopes for each appplication and on the envelope print 'APPLICATION FOR EMPLOYMENT..." and so on.
