Online EAD Application Question

I was applying for my EAD renewal online. I have 2 questions.

For my spouse application, I forgot to put the I-485 and I-140 application number is the column - PLEASE PROVIDE INFORMATION CONCERNING YOUR ELIGIBILITY STATUS. Will this be a problem ? What can be done now to fix this ?

I was filling the application for my self when I got stuck - I had enterted US last time on H1B. My H1B has expired and I am nowworking on EAD. What should I fill for columsn - CURRENT IMMIGRATION STATUS IN USA. ?

i'm sure u r referring to Q 16 on i-765.

If ur or ur spouse's 485 is filed then ur category is () (c) (09); some people write it as (c) (0) (9) but I sent mine as i said before and mine was approved no problems.

I'm assuming that ur 485 is Employment based so u can use c 09 cateory otherwise find ur category based on ur 485.

Have u already sent ur spouse's application without filling category??? if yes then expect an RFE or rejection of ur app. If ur answer is still yes then send another application and this time prefer paper filing because u r going to send some docs and in this packet explain ur 1st case and ask them to disacrd previous application and consider this one. Yeah u'll have to send fees again.

Answer to ur 2nd Q is H1b since thats what u used to enter US doesn't matter if u r on EAD right now. my case is like urs enterd on h1 now working on EAD.

Apologies. u shud write "AOS, I-485 Pending. Please see attached I485 Recept notice" & you shud attache a copy of the notice.
And in Q 14. You will write H1B as MANNER OF LAST ENTRY.

c09 is enough on employment based EADs.
& Yes enter your ( i mean whoever is the applicant) A#(Alien Registration#) on Q 10. Make sure your both 140 and 485 has same A#.

If u've already sent the application without writing A# then my Q to u is that have you sent supporting docs already or not if not then send copies of both 140 & 485 with application and write a coverletter and explain that you forgot to enter A# and you shud be fine. This is not a big mistake like not typing c09, eligibility criteria.

I think it shud be H1:ALIEN of DIST MERIT & ABILITY coz i don't see any option 485 pending or AOS.

Frankly This Q is not on paper form 765. You shud check this with other members or lawyers before you submit.

Put this Q as a separate thread.
