One year after labor filing

For IT professional..... If labor cert is pending in state level more than one year .
I heard that there is some new rule came out of INS that says something like this
" You are legal in usa even if u loose job" is that true??? I dont think so but one IT guru told me that this a really new rule according to his immigration lawyer.
some one PLEASE enlighten me on this...........................

Never heard of this law.. I tried to find on other websites & could not find any information... As per BCIS if you do not have job you are not legal unless other company has already applied for your H1 Transfer Or You carry an EAD & use it you join new company with same job profile (offcaurce you have to use AC-21)

Not true.
If you are on a work visa and you lose your job, technically you are out of status immediately.
Does not matter if labor has been pending for n number of years.
