One-way or two-way ticket???

My mother got her Greencard approved in chennai, India this july. She is going to travel to USA for the first time next month. I believe her passport will be stamped then. The dilemma is can she buy a one-way ticket to USA or does she have to buy a two-way ticket?

Can she someone PLEASE advise on this??

Just show proof of her LPR status before checking in for her flight. Otherwise they will not let her board the plane with only a 1 way ticket.
