One name check only?

I filed a derivative I-485 as a dependent in May of 2004. I assumed that there was a name check initiated on this case.

I filed a second I-485 as the primary in April of this year. Do I need a second name check? Both cases have the same A# for me.

If ONE A# only needs one name check, hopefully my name check is complete or near complete right now.

I think that there will be a second name check.

This is based on the observation of USCIS sending me employment RFE right after they received my H-1B renewal application where there is a fresh employment statement.

CIS is stupid. Trust me.

In fact you could have multiple name checks, even if hadn't filed a second I-485 as the primary.

I had 2 NC's.
