As I said in some other post my case is still pending at USCIS after DOS sent them the favorable recommendation on May 31st.
Reading this forum I have noticed that people usually get the final waiver from USCIS in 2-4 weeks so I'm trying to find a reason why my case is taking so long.
Maybe it can be this: my J1 program hasnt finished yet, I'm a posdoc researcher in NY and the program finishes in January 2008. So my question is, do you think USCIS is waiting to send me the waiver until my program is finished? has anybody had a similar experience? (i.e. applying for a waiver while the J1 program is still on)
