I filed I-140 EB1-OR at June, 2003
I filed I-140 EB1-EA and I-485 concurrently at May, 2004.
My I-140 EB1-OR got approved at October, 2004.
Is my I-485 still useful for my approved I-140?
What should I do next?

Thank you for your answering my questions.

One I-485 and two T-140

I think if you read my last email, it is clear of my situation.
Certainly it is quite complicated.

My situation is that I file two I filed two I-140 applications.
But I filed only one I-485 application.
Now my first I-140 is approved.

My question: Is it possible my I-485 useful for my approved I-140? Should I file a new I-485 application
for my first I-140?

Thank you for your help and sorry for my complicated
case.

Congrats on your approval!
You will need to tie up your pending I485 petition with your approved I140. How could it be done? Good question. I would say either through a letter to USCIS or by amending your pending I485 by referencing approved I140 in it.
You might also call Customer Service and ask for immigration officer, regular reps would not help you in this.

Take a look at these posts, I hope that might help:

it looks like you got the second link already - saw your name in the post.

Good luck,

Another question

Thank you for above very helpful information. I am going to file
a letter for the transfering my I-485 to the approved I-140.

I have another question to ask you. Because my approved I-140
is an employer-based petition. Maybe I will move to another University
next year, which is actually the reason I filed my second I-140. So
my question is: If I move to another university next year, from what
time will INS count the 180 days rule? Is it counted from the
the filing time of my I-485 or from the transfering time of my I-485?
If in case my first approved I-140 is in some trouble, can I return
my I-485 to the second I-140?

I know my case shound very weird and the qeustions may be hard
to answer. But I really need your suggestions.
Thanks.
