I was told that my file is on the way to the queue to be assigned to an officer. How long do you think it will take for it to be approved?

Thanks. RD 11/18 ND 12/5 FP 2/19/02

On the way to the queue?? What does THAT mean?? A queue for another queue? Or is someone physically transferring the file in front of the IIO when you were on the phone with him/her?

Imagine this:

Gwpeng: My EAC# is EAC-02-XX-XXXX, could you tell me whats the status of my case?

IIO (Notices someone with a bunch of files walking): Hey, Bob, are those 485 files you are carrying to the adjudication dept? Is EAC-02-XX-XXXX in there, too?

IIO (to gwpeng): Your file is on the way to the queue to be assigned to an officer.

gwpeng,

I was told the same thing when I called yesterday. It seems like that it is in que to br sent to another que. I was also told that the officer has 90 days to adjudicate the case once it has been assigned.

It all depends how long it will be before our cases are assigned to an officer. The way I see it, it could possibly take another 2-4 months....even though I would hate for that to happen

gwpeng,
I think you will hear from them before 5/19( before your finger prints expires). I heard that once the case is assigned to an officer, officer might make a decision in couple of hours to 90 days depending on his mood. Iam guessing you will be approved this week.

When I called today (5/6) , IIO said my case will take around 30-60 days to process. Sometimes IIO are really funny:D
