Got my H1 approved on OCT 21 2004. Did not begun work as I had to give certain exams. Do not have pay stubs. I will be going to home country in March. I will obtain pay stubs from jan thru march (4 or 5 of them). Will this have a negative effect on visa stamping?

Has anybody been in situation where company has sponsored H1 but employee has not begun work till untill 3 months later? does the 180 day rule of leaving country to not to get out of status apply here?

Please do let me know
Thanx

You will be in trouble if they ask you to provide W2/Tax Returns for 2004. You need to explain why you did not get paid for the period.

you may wanna ask your company for some paychecks for the 2004. Atleast 2 or 3 of them. It is like you pay them the tax amount for that period and get the paychecks. the companies can issue u checks even in a later date for past period. Act immediately as it is just few days since 2005 has started. you also need to get W2 for 2004.
good luck
