on h-1, working but no pay stubs from the company

Hi all,

My friend has a bit tricky situation. He is working with company A. For the last two pay periods, his company issuing his net pay on company checks (ie without pay stubs). Seems that company has some funding problems and they r trying to cut costs by deferring the payment of taxes.

Because of funding uncertainity he wanted to have his h1 transfer to another company. In this scenario, without the recent pay stubs is it possible to transfer the h1 ? (by providing any other means of proof of employment)

Pl jaxen or some one enlighten the possibilities !

The company, the owners, and maybe even the bookkeepers have major problems. The company is almost certain to go under very soon.
