On GC but transferred to India

Hi,
I got my GC 6 months back, now i have been posted to B'lore for 6-8 months project.

My question is wether this 8 month time consider in my Citizenship period or not...


Please help....

You might have better luck posting this in the citizenship forum. From what I have read in the N-400 application you cannot be outside the US for more than 6 months at a time. If you do you will need to get a re-entry permit.

I am not yet at that stage.....but u can find ur answers in these two link,
Read complete and carefully and share info with others and educate others too. plz

All I understand is if u have to stay outside US because of job u would need to file an extention(not recalling exact form name but there is a form check in google search). and keep everything in document always keep with u. check the tax filling issue+Bank A/c and letter from Employer. one info is missing that is form. If I find I will post later.if u find share with us plz
